Our Message

Dear friends,

Thank you for taking the time to hear from us.  We recognize that this is a busy time; a time with many changes and many choices before you.  We hope you will be filled with peace, happiness, and clarity as you await the birth of your child and consider the best course for your situation in life.

We would like to share with you a little about our family.  We met through a friend of a friend and became friends.  We went dancing, bowling, ice skating, and played games.  After a few months that friendship developed and we decided, hey, we like each other more than just as a friend, so we pursued that relationship.  A few months after that we decided, hey, we really like each other and we want to be together forever, so we got engaged.  Three long months later we married and enjoyed a beautiful day with family and friends.  And now, some years after that, we are enjoying many beautiful days and family and friends continue to be a blessing in our lives.

Family is our number one priority and the source of our greatest joy.  We both came from loving homes with good parents and four siblings each.  We knew that after being married we would want to bring children into our home and family.  After a few miscarriages we recognized that maybe our children would not come through the traditional route.  In our minds it didn’t matter how our children came to us so we completed the requirements to be blessed through adoption.  Our first blessing stayed with us for only a month while his parents worked through a difficult time.  His presence in our family blessed us beyond anything we could imagine.  We learned much about the love a mother has for her child.  We believe that this child was the blessing that led the way to our next blessing.  Zachary was placed into our arms by our beautiful, loving, and selfless birth mother.  She is our friend and we love her very much.

Our little family is very happy and we have much to be grateful for.  We live in a beautiful area and home where we can enjoy the great outdoors together.  Zac loves playing in the yard, going to the beach, playing with his friends, and with his grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins.  He loves his daddy.  They work on projects together, ride in the truck, paddle in the kayak, play with toys, wrestle, and watch “the monkey,” aka, “Curious George.”  Zac gets to spend his days with mom while dad is at work.  Together we do housework, go to the library, visit family and friends, read stories, go shopping, and play outdoors.  As a family we also enjoy working on home projects and going on outings for our monthly family fun day.

Rick is a devoted husband, father, and provider.  He is committed to making sure his family is happy, healthy, and comfortable.  He works hard, but makes sure his family and faith remain strong.  He desires to serve and help others with his talents and resources.  He loves to learn about pretty much anything, but computers and electronics are his specialty.  Rick is happy out on the water and dreams to own a sailboat one day.  He enjoys playing the piano and for many years has accompanied the children’s primary in church.  He also likes to experiment with photography, tinker in the garage doing various projects, and play video games with his brothers.

Bonnie’s greatest desire in life is to be a good wife and mother.  Her family is her work and joy.  She feels a great responsibility to instill in her children a faith in God through high standards, morals, and values.  She also places the health of her family and the education of her children as a priority.  Bonnie strives to love and serve others in need.  She has enjoyed serving and teaching the youth and young children in church.  Bonnie enjoys keeping her home organized and clean, cooking, digital scrapbooking, and taking care of her physical health through floor hockey, jogging, yoga, outdoor activities, and playing with Zac.

We are happy being the parents of our little boy and hope to be blessed once again through the miracle of adoption.  We hope you are blessed with love and support from those around you as you experience the miracle of birth.  We also are happy to give our love and support and to share with you more about our family as you take this journey before you.

With love,
Rick, Bonnie
and Zac
